For nearly fifty years, since the foundation of BIOS in 1976, the BIOS Reporter has been the principal channel of communication between the
Council, the Officers, and the general membership. Appearing (almost) invariably four times a year, it has recorded the society’s activities, advertised forthcoming events, alerted members to looming controversies in the organ world, and provided a forum for an exchange of views. It has also published a succession of short papers on academic and musical research, book reviews, and reports from the various BIOS committees.
