The months have ticked by and at last we are beginning to experience the early stages of a return to a more normal way of life. There is a long way to go, however, with the possibility of further new outbreaks to set things back and hold up the recovery. In our individual lives we have had to accept the necessity of no longer being able to meet regularly with family members who don’t live under the same roof as us, or with our friends. Organisations to which we belong have had to cancel their activities, and the churches that many of us serve as organists have been closed, which has been a hard blow…
