My first task as incoming Chair of BIOS is to thank those who have recently stepped down from their roles. We thank them for their involvement and dedicated work, without which BIOS could not function efficiently.
In the last issue of the BIOS Reporter, Nicholas Thistlethwaite thanked Alan Thurlow for his excellent custodianship of the role of Chair – and I wish to reiterate those thanks. Likewise, I’d like to acknowledge Nicholas’s recent term; he has held this office before, but stepped into the role for twelve months whilst I was able to prepare for taking on the task. I’m certain that members will wish me to thank them both for their diligence.
