New Historic Organ Listings – October 2025

The October meeting of the BIOS Council approved three new Historic Organ Listings.

Par, Good Shepherd 1903 Trudgian & Son I/P 7 [N11235]: Grade II*

An instrument of special interest from c 1914 by John Trudgian & Son of St Dennis that is a rare survivor, being in original condition. It is robustly engineered with a small, but musical tonal scheme.

Preston, St George 1865 Willis III/P 37 [N10719]: Grade II*

A significant early organ built by Henry โ€˜Fatherโ€™ Willis in 1865 and formerly sited on the west gallery. It remains tonally unaltered from Willisโ€™ 1885 rebuild, with the exception of major alterations to the winding system.

Leeds, St Saviour 1913 Walker II/P 12 [D05537]: Grade II*

A characteristic and fine example of the work of J W Walker & Sons that is of special interest, dating from 1913 and retaining all original material within an earlier case of 1890 by G F Bodley.
