BIOS Reporter – Volume 6, No.1 – January 1982

It is always encouraging for an editor to know that something he has written has evoked (or even provoked) a response among his readership. Consequently, when a little flood of material descended on me following an appeal last year for contributions to the Reporter I was delighted. (Please don’t recline on your laurels, though: we have used up most of the articles ‘in hand’, and would again be glad to receive further contributions for consideration.) One of these contributions took the form of a letter from Mr Geoffrey Morgan, of London. It seemed to be a response to one particular article in an earlier issue of the Reporter, but in fact it deals with an aspect of conservation which has frequently been discussed on this page, and elsewhere in the Reporter…
