BIOS Reporter – Volume 49, No.2 – May 2025

I continue to be amazed at the extent of the work undertaken by individual BIOS council members on behalf of the Institute – and I take this opportunity
to thank them for their labours. Much has been achieved in the last months – but there is more to do. At the next Council meeting we will be discussing a range of matters, including the BOA and the appointment of an archivist, membership matters, the PhD project with the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, how BIOS might highlight organs at risk beyond producing a register, as well as receiving the wonderful news of a further legacy from
Richard Owen to be invested in the NPOR. Council is grateful to those who have remembered BIOS in their will.
